At least four people were killed, including the suspect and his family members, in a shooting and standoff in Adair County, Kentucky, on Monday, April 21.

The suspect gunman shot and killed his mother, aunt and another family member before barricading himself inside the home on Chestnut Grove Road around 11:30 AM, according to a WKYT report.

Officials have confirmed that the suspect is dead, but unclear how the suspect was killed. Kentucky State Police reports that there is no threat to the community. No deputies were injured in the gunfire.
