Typhoon Sinlaku Live Tracker Map: Cyclonic Storm Intensifies Into Category 5; Check Real-Time Location

Super Typhoon Sinlaku, one of the strongest cyclonic storms of the year 2026 to date, have struck down on the Mariana Islands in the North Pacific Ocean, according to NASA. The  VIIRS (Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite) image captured by the Suomi NPP satellite at around 3.30 UT (1.30 pm local time) on April 13 as the cyclonic storm approached the island.

Typhoon Sinlaku is influencing winds upto 175 miles per hour, which is referred to as a violent typhoon, which has the highest intensity on the scale used by the Japan Meteorological Agency and equivalent to a category 5 storm on the Saffir-Simpson wind scale, according to NASA.

The storm has brought heavy rains to Marianas, including in Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). A per the forecast, a typhoon is expected to bring heavy rainfall with strong winds in Saipan and Tinian from April 14 into April 15 before subsiding to tropical storm conditions.
