Mayhoola donates 2 million euros to fight COVID-19

Mayhoola, the parent company of Balmain, Valentino and Pal Zileri will be donating two million euros to support two different projects related to the emergency situation that Italy is currently facing.

Italy [EUR], Mar 24 : Mayhoola, the parent company of Balmain, Valentino and Pal Zileri will be donating two million euros to support two different projects related to the emergency situation that Italy is currently facing.

The Italian clothing company Valentino announced on their official social media that Mayhoola joined Italy in the fight against COVID-19 emergncy with a donation of two million euros.

Mayhoola spokesperson said, "We are very close to the Italian population and we are constantly monitoring the evolution of the pandemic in the country. We are pained to see what is happening in Milan and we strongly hope that this decisive action can help the doctors and their teams of Sacco Hospital."

One million euros will help support the Intensive Care Treatment units at Sacco Hospital in Milan. Through the donation, the hospital will see the installation of negative pressure ventilation, which will allow medical staff to safely assist patients with corona virus.

The goal is to halt the increase of further infecting health care staff and to guarantee safety measures for all those people working in intensive care units.

Mayhoola worked with Alessandro Visconti, General Manager at ASTT Fatebenefratelli Sacco Hospital, and Dr. Emanuele Catena, in charge of the Anaesthesia Department and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in order to entirely cover all expenses related to one of the many urgencies that the Lombardy Health Care System is facing in these weeks.

Alessandro Visconti and Emanuele Catena state, "We really would like to thank Mayhoola, Valentino, Balmain and Pal Zileri for their generosity and for having prioritized the health and safety of those fighting against this ongoing pandemic."

And the other million euros will go towards Protezione Civile Italiana in order to support the extraordinary effort that they are putting forward throughout all the Italian regions.
