Ramadan 2025 Date in India: The month of Ramadan is considered a holy month in Islam. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and Eid-ul-Fitr or Ramzan Eid is celebrated after the conclusion of the holy month. The Muslim community observe fasts for 29 or 30 days of during this blessing month of Ramadan. The beginning and first day of Ramadan 2025 depend on the sighting of the moon. Therefore, the exact date of the start of Ramadan and the first Roza can only be confirmed after the moon is sighted. However, this year, the holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on March 2 in India and March 1 in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Dubai, and other Gulf countries.

When is Ramadan 2025 Moonsighting in India?
If the crescent moon of Ramadan is sighted on February 28 in India, the first fast (Roza) will be observed on Saturday, March 1, 2025. If the moon is sighted on Saturday, March 1, the first fast will be observed on Sunday, March 2, 2025. However, this may change depending on the moon sighting of the crescent moon. Based on this, the month of Ramadan is expected to end on March 30 or 31.
According to the Islamic calendar, the month of Ramadan begins after the moon is sighted on the 29th day of Sha'ban. The date of Eid-ul-Fitr is fixed on the last day of Ramadan. This year, Eid is expected to be celebrated on March 31. The festival is observed on the first day of Shawwal according to the Islamic calendar.
