After the tragic demise of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Leader and Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar, many NCP workers gathered at the party’s Delhi office on Wednesday. The leaders were seen mourning the party’s huge loss. They paid their respects to late Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who died in a plane crash today. Visuals from the NCP workers gathering at the Delhi office were shared by news agency PTI on X. In the video, it is seen that party members are arriving at the office, offering their final tributes to the departed NCP leader, and chanting  “Ajit Dada Amar Rahe.” Many supporters appeared deeply emotional, with some struggling to hold back tears while others folded their hands in prayer, wishing eternal peace for the departed leader. A short prayer meeting was organised at the office, where party workers stood in silent tribute. After the prayers concluded, additional supporters lined up to pay their last respects, as a heavy sense of grief continued to prevail.

Nationalist Congress Party–Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) leader Supriya Sule expressed deep shock and sorrow over the sudden death of her cousin, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, in a plane crash in Baramati on Wednesday. Sule shared her grief on WhatsApp, posting a one-word status—“Devastated”—which marked the first response from the bereaved family after the tragic incident.

CCTV visuals have surfaced capturing the moment the aircraft carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed and burst into flames near Baramati Airport on Wednesday morning, January 28. The 66-year-old Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader died on the spot along with four others after their chartered Learjet 45 went down during a second landing attempt.

The jet, operated by VSR Ventures, had taken off from Mumbai around 8:10 am. Flight tracking details and eyewitnesses indicated that the aircraft encountered trouble while descending at Baramati. The 26-second CCTV clip shows the plane hitting the ground and erupting into a massive fireball at about 8:46 am during its second approach. The crash was followed by a loud blast and thick black smoke billowing into the air. The footage was captured by a surveillance camera installed at a roadside shop nearby.

Ajit Pawar’s body was later identified through his wristwatch recovered from the wreckage, which was extensively damaged by the intense fire that engulfed the aircraft after the crash.
