BJP state president Chandrakant Patil on Friday questioned MP Sambhaji Raje whether he is helping the state government by canceling the march?

We have accepted the leadership of Sambhaji Raje. He said that he would take out a morcha earlier. Later, he said that he would ask the MLAs and MPs for answers. He said that he would take a long march from Pune to Mumbai again. You have to tell society exactly what you are going to do, said Patil.

We will not take out march. But if anyone else is holding a morcha, we will participate in it, said MLA Patil. MP Sambhaji Raje should keep this in mind. MLA Patil also gave an implicit warning that the Maratha community is wise enough to understand if the agitation is manipulated.

Rajya Sabha MP Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati announced a plan for a silent protest in favor of Maratha reservation. He said since his meeting with chief minister Uddhav Thackeray last month — over the five demands of the Maratha community — no one has approached him and no assurance has been given to him that the issues will be resolved.

“We are holding similar silent dharnas at four places in the state. If the government fails to address the concerns then we will organize a long march from Pune to Mumbai. Marathas from across the state will arrive at Pune and we will march to Mantralaya in Mumbai,” Sambhajiraje had said earlier.
