Jalgaon Road Accident: 2 Injured After Container Overturns on Highway, Multiple Vehicles Collide; Paladhi Bypass Blocked

A Paladhi–Tarsod bypass block after an accident took place in Jalgaon in the early hours of Saturday, February 28. The accident involve four to five vehicles collided with each other on the highway. The incident occurred after a container overturned on the road, leading to multiple vehicles crashing into each other. 

The container driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn and trigger the pile-up. Several vehicles were crushed in the accident. The exact number of injured persons is yet to be ascertained, but the incident has caused panic in the area.

Chaos followed soon after, and commuters on the highway alerted the police. Residents from nearby villages rushed to help the victims. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The administration has begun clearing the damaged vehicles from the highway.

A video of the accident has emerged, showing severely damaged vehicles, including four-wheelers, tractors and containers. The mishap occurred at night, and although visibility was low, a crowd of locals can be seen gathered at the spot.

Preliminary reports suggest that two people have been seriously injured. Both are currently receiving treatment. Several vehicles have suffered major damage. Police have started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
