Konkan Railway Block: Janshatabdi, Tejas, Konkan Kanya, Mandovi Express to Run Only Up to Panvel; Check Details
Passengers travelling on the Konkan Railway on April 4 (Saturday) and 5 (Sunday) are likely to face inconvenience due to multiple service changes. The timings of the Vande Bharat Express have also been revised. The Janshatabdi Express, Tejas Express and Konkan Kanya Express will operate only up to Panvel in Maharashtra on the weekend. As a result, passengers travelling between Mumbai and the Konkan region may face difficulties.
Central Railway has announced a special traffic block for work on the Prabhadevi flyover between Parel and Curry Road stations between the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Kalyan. Due to this block, several trains running between CSMT and Madgaon will be diverted or short-terminated at Panvel.
According to Konkan Railway:
Train No. 12052 Madgaon–CSMT Janshatabdi Express and Train No. 22120 Madgaon–CSMT Tejas Express on April 4 will run only up to Panvel.
Train No. 12134 Mangaluru–CSMT Express on April 4 will run up to Thane.
Train No. 10104 Madgaon–CSMT Mandovi Express will be short-terminated at Panvel.
Train No. 20111 CSMT–Madgaon Konkankanya Express on April 4 will depart from Panvel as per schedule.
On April 5:
Train No. 12051 CSMT–Madgaon Janshatabdi Express and Train No. 22119 CSMT–Madgaon Tejas Express will depart from Panvel as per schedule.
Train No. 22229 CSMT–Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will depart at 5.40 am, around 15 minutes later than its usual timing.
Train No. 11003 Dadar–Sawantwadi Road Tutari Express will depart at 6.30 am, delayed by about six-and-a-half hours.
Train No. 10103 CSMT–Madgaon Mandovi Express will depart at 7.50 am, around 40 minutes late.
Train No. 01129 CSMT–Madgaon Special will depart at 7.10 am.
These changes are expected to increase travel time and costs for passengers, especially senior citizens, women and those travelling with luggage, as they will need to use alternative transport to reach Panvel or Thane.

A block will be in place from 10.30 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday for the removal of a panel on the Prabhadevi bridge. During this period, suburban services between CSMT and Dadar will remain suspended.
Additionally, another special block will be undertaken between Thane and Dombivli from midnight on Saturday until 10 am on Sunday to extend platform length.
