In a suspected case of food poisoning, 31 students from various educational institutions in Nanded were hospitalized early Thursday morning after consuming 'pani puri' from a roadside stall. The incident triggered concerns over food safety and hygiene at local eateries. According to officials at Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College and Hospital, students began arriving at the facility from 4:00 AM onwards, complaining of vomiting, nausea, and general uneasiness.“All 31 students were admitted after reporting similar symptoms. Initial investigations suggest they consumed pani puri from the same stall,” a hospital official stated.

The affected individuals are students from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, SGGS College, and a local nursing college. Medical staff promptly conducted examinations and admitted the students to different wards for observation and treatment. Thankfully, hospital authorities have confirmed that all the students are in stable condition and are responding well to treatment.Local health officials are now investigating the stall suspected of serving the contaminated food. The roadside vendor has reportedly been identified, and food samples have been collected for testing. Authorities have urged citizens to be cautious while consuming food from unregulated street vendors. Further updates are awaited as the investigation continues.
