Several districts have recorded temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius. Amid the ongoing heatwave, the state has reported its first heatstroke-related death. An 11-year-old boy from Buldhana district has died due to heatstroke. According to the regional media reports, the boy, identified as Sanskar Sonatakke, was a class sixth student at Sant Gajanan Maharaj Dyanpeeth in Shegaon. He fell ill due to the extreme heat, and his condition worsened. His family was taking him to a hospital in Akola when he died on the way.

For the past few days, Maharashtra has experienced a mix of unseasonal rain in some areas and severe heat in others. However, the current rise in temperatures has intensified concerns.
