The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has opened the online registration process for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) supplementary examination scheduled for June–July 2026. The supplementary examination offers another opportunity to students who could not clear one or more subjects in the regular board exams, helping them avoid losing an academic year. Candidates seeking score improvement can also apply for the examination. Application forms are available on the board’s official website. Apart from regular students, private candidates and those applying under the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and Transfer of Credit schemes are also eligible to register for the examination process this year.

According to the official timetable released by the board, students can submit their applications during the regular registration window from May 5 to May 15, 2026. Candidates who fail to complete the process within this period will be allowed to apply with a late fee between May 16 and May 20, 2026. The final deadline for payment of examination fees through RTGS or NEFT mode has been fixed as May 22, 2026. Authorities have advised students to finish the registration process within the regular period to avoid additional charges and any technical issues that may arise during the last days of application submission.

The board has instructed colleges and junior colleges to thoroughly verify all application forms before forwarding them for final submission. Students have also been asked to carefully review the printed copy of their forms and sign them after confirming that all personal and academic details are accurate. Educational institutions will be responsible for transferring examination fees to the board’s official account through RTGS or NEFT transactions. Officials clarified that no forms submitted after the prescribed deadline will be entertained under any circumstances. The supplementary examinations are expected to take place during June and July, while detailed schedules and admit card information will be announced separately later.

Earlier, the Maharashtra Board declared the HSC results for the February–March 2026 examinations on May 2, 2026. Students who wish to check their results can visit the board’s official website and click on the “Results” section available on the homepage. After selecting the “HSC Examination Result 2026” link, candidates need to enter their seat number along with the captcha code before submitting the details. The result will then appear on the screen, which students can download and keep for future reference. Authorities have urged candidates registering for the supplementary exams to complete all formalities carefully and within the stipulated timeline.
