Mumbai: Mother Abandons Three Minor Children on Dombivli Road; Rescued by Alert Passerby
In a shocking incident highlighting a stark contrast to stories of maternal courage, a mother allegedly abandoned her three minor children on a roadside in Dombivli and fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 9 am on Monday near Tulsiram Bungalow in Dombivli West. According to preliminary information, the woman left the children on the roadside on the pretext of getting food and did not return for a long time.
Passerby Jaishree Yadav noticed the children crying helplessly. Displaying prompt compassion, she took them into her care and immediately rushed them to Vishnu Nagar Police Station, where she informed the police about the situation.
The children—two girls and a boy—are estimated to be around one, two, and three years old. Their condition left onlookers visibly emotional.
Senior Police Inspector Ram Chopde of Vishnu Nagar Police Station stated that initial findings suggest the mother may have intentionally abandoned the children. A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace her.
The incident has sparked widespread concern in the area, with residents questioning the mother’s actions while also praising Jaishree Yadav for her humanity and timely intervention.
