Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2026: A major breach has been reported in the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in Maharashtra after a bundle of geography question papers was allegedly stolen from a strong room at a school in Sangola, Solapur district. According to reports, unidentified persons broke into the strong room at Sangola Vidyamandir, where question papers were stored, and stole about 50 geography question papers.

The theft was discovered Tuesday morning when education department staff arrived to dispatch examination materials. Closed-circuit cameras (CCTV) installed outside the storage area were not functioning at the time, leaving investigators without immediate visual evidence.

The theft of question papers just a day before the scheduled exam has created uncertainty over whether the Class 10 geography examination will proceed as planned. The incident has raised fresh questions about the security of board examinations in the state.

According to the reports, a complaint has been registered with the police, and an investigation is in progress.
