The taxi union of Mumbai has not given a call for strike tomorrow in support of 'Bharat Bandh'. Cabs and autos will ply as normal.

Meanwhile the BEST buses will be operational tomorrow and will not be part of 'Bharat Bandh'. Protective iron grills and other protective gears will be used while plying the buses tomorrow, said the PRO, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport.

Whereas the operations at Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) market located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai including supplies of perishables will remain closed on December 8 in support of Bharat bandh, said Navi Mumbai APMC President Rajendra Shelke.

The Vashi APMC is the apex body of about 300 APMCs in the state. The five wholesale markets have a daily footfall of around 50,000.

Thousands of farmers are sitting on various borders of New Delhi since November 26 against the laws and have called for a ''Bharat Bandh'' on December 8.

Farmers are protesting against the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
