Nagpur: NMC starts process of sending migrant workers to their home state

The entire country is under lockdown till May 17. Amid the lockdown the migrant workers are left stranded in different states wanting to go back to their natives. 

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has started health checkup and registration of migrant labourers staying at shelter homes in the city as part of the procedure before they board special trains or buses for their home states.

NMC has made available a form in which specific details of the person have to be filled. These details include Aadhar number, destination where the person wants to move to and other personal information. Once this form is filled NMC will be announce the date on which travel arrangements will be facilitated for the person to travel.
