Palghar: Rotary District 3141 launches mega project called Vision Year's 3 H project

The Rotary District 3141 led by District Governor Rtn. Sunnil Mehra has launched a mega project called Vision Year's 3 H project.

This project was kickstarted on 23rd January, 2021 in the presence of Shri Siddharam Salimath (IAS), CEO Zillha Parishad, Mrs. Anushka Arun Thakre from Sabhapati Mahila and Bal Kalyan Samiti, Mr. Naresh Akre Zillha Parishad Member and Dr. Dayanand Suryawanshi CHO Palghar. The Rotary District 3141 has 105 clubs under its umbrella are participating in 3H project.

The 3 H's stand for Health, Hunger and Hygiene. These 3 key areas of today's needs are covered in this project.

In the Health Project, Rotary has identified malnutritioned children of SAM & MAM category from WADA, Vikramgadh and Jhawar in Palghar district of Maharashtra. This project will cover more than 2000 children from the three areas.

Rotary is supplying nutrition food packets every month for the next six months to these 2000 children. A special mention of Project Directors Rtn. Netra Nairi and Rtn. Bhagwan Patil for their initiative to head the Health Project. They are supported by Rtn. Rafiq Lulania , Rtn. Amit Patil, Rtn. Shashank Thackeray and Rtn. Milind Bagul. 

The Hunger Project led by Rtn. Chetan Desai who is the director of Annapurna, in which the district provides meals to under privileged people on a daily basis, has already covered 1.5 million meals. And this is just the start with a long way to go.

In the Hygiene Project the District has taken the initiative to provide Reusable Menstrual Hygiene kits to underprivileged women & girls in the rural areas. The project was started on 23rd January, 2021 by distributing 2000 kits in a single day. Target for the project is 20,000 kits. Rtn. Nazneen Sakharwala, is the project director for the Hygiene project.

The District has launched a 4th project, coincidently also another H, which is Housing. The name of the project is Aashiyana, which is led by Project Director Rtn. Raj Khosla.
In this project, Rotary jointly with the  help of the government and Zillha Parishad officials at District Palghar are providing new houses to homeless people and also thought of refurbishing the incomplete houses. Rotary has decided to provide  500 houses, of which two are already handed over. Special Regards to Rtn. Ashwin Kumar Shetty, Principal District Secretary and Rtn.
