Sachin Vaze's health deteriorated again after he was nabbed by the NIA in connection with the case involving an abandoned SUV found near the home of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

Doctors were called to treat him around midnight. Vaze was arrested by NIA around 11.30 on Saturday.

The action was taken after about 12 hours of interrogation. Also, after placing explosives in the Scorpio, the driver escaped from the Innova car of the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police. The Innova was also seized by the NIA, who on Sunday remanded Vaze in custody for 11 days.

On Sunday, Vaze was found wearing a saline bandage while going to the court. The NIA had also called a doctor on Sunday night. Sources said that the doctor examined Vaze and left the NIA office at around 1 pm.

The NIA has not provided any official information in this regard. Even on Saturday night, Waze was feeling tired after the interrogation. Due to which he was treated at JJ Hospital. This was reported by a TV news channel.

Two officers and two drivers working under Sachin Vaze were interrogated for nine and a half hours. A few more officers are likely to be called in for questioning. Riaz Qazi has been working in CIU for the last 3 years.

Vaze, 49, has been booked by the NIA in connection with the SUV and he is also being simultaneously probed by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad for the mystery death of Thane businessman Mansukh Hiren - two cases which sparked off a nationwide political furore.
