In yet another shocking incident, a pregnant women who reached Kalwa hospital after she got a false alarm failed to get an ambulance to drop her home back to Kalyan. She reached the hospital where the staff told her that it was a false alarm and she had to walk back 13 kms to her home in Kalyan. Later the 23 year old pregnant delivered the baby at a private hospital. 

KDMC commissioner Vijay Suryawanshi arranged for a private hospital in Kalyan to carry out her delivery for free as the family is poor. The woman, whose husband is stuck in Mumbai, has alleged she was forced to walk along the railway tracks on May 5 with her three-year-old son in tow as the Kalwa hospital did not arrange an ambulance to drop her home.
