ST Bus Fare Hike: MSRTC To Increase Bus Ticket Prices From April 15; Check Location Wise Rates
Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has decided to increase bus fares by 10% from April 15. As a result, passengers travelling to their hometowns during the summer holidays will have to pay more. Long-distance travel is expected to become costlier by around Rs 90 to Rs 100.
ST buses remain a preferred mode of transport as they connect villages and offer relatively affordable travel, along with various discounts. However, the seasonal fare hike will make travel slightly more expensive.

The ST Corporation is permitted to increase fares during peak seasons. Accordingly, a temporary hike is implemented. Last year, a similar 10% fare increase announced during Diwali was withdrawn following public opposition. Experts say the corporation may again face pressure to roll back the hike.
