Air India Flight From Mumbai to Bhopal Makes Emergency Landing Due to Technical Issue
An Air India flight from Mumbai to Bhopal made an emergency landing at Bhopal airport on April 26 due to a suspected technical issue, as per standard operating procedure, said Air India. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, and the crew reported a "technical issue" mid-flight.
A precautionary landing is alerted with a "Pan-Pan" alert call and is used when the issue is not critical but still requires the aircraft to land ahead of schedule to avoid any potential escalation.

"The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew disembarked. The aircraft underwent checks while alternative arrangements were made to fly the passengers to their destination," an Air India spokesperson.
The aircraft was carrying nearly 175 passengers, including nine crew members, landed safely at 3.20 pm. Everyone on board was fine and the airport and airline teams provided all necessary assistance, according to the report.
