A fire broke out at a 45-storey high-rise in Mumbai's Goregaon East area on Friday morning, February 13. According to the information, a blaze erupted in 9th floor apartment of the DB Wood Building located in the Gokuldham area of Goregaon East.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) responded to the incident at around 9.11 am. A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) shows smoke from the tower, which has created panic among residents in the building. Fire officials confirmed that the blaze was contained quickly and no injuries have been reported.

The fire originated in the bedroom of a flat on the 9th floor of the 45-storey building. Upon arrival, the MFB declared a Level-1 (minor) fire at 9:25 am. As a precautionary measure, the building’s internal emergency protocols were activated, and residents were moved to designated refuge areas and the open terrace to avoid smoke inhalation.
