Mumbai Local Train Update: Services between Kasara to Kalyan On Central Line Affected Due to Strong Winds
Mumbai unseasonal weather has affected the local trains as the flying metal sheet got Stuck in the overhead wires due to strong winds. This incident has happened between the Atgaon and Thansit stations on Central Railway, bringing the Mumbai local rail traffic to a halt on Friday evening. This has affected the entire Kasara to Kalyan station local services on Central line.
Mumbai Local trains got halted for 15mins while express train behind was stopped for eight minutes, said officials said. Operations have since been restored, according to Central Railway authorities.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a nowcast warning at 4:25 p.m. on Friday, forecasting thunderstorms with lightning and light rain in Mumbai. Gusty winds between 30 and 40 kmph are expected at isolated places in the city over the next three to four hours. Residents are advised to take precautions while stepping out. The city woke up to humid conditions on Friday, April 4. Scattered showers earlier in the week have contributed to rising humidity levels
