Mumbai MHADA Lottery 2026: Board Set to Announce Draw for 5,000 Homes in Goregaon, Vikhroli and Antop Hill; Check Details

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is set to launch its highly anticipated housing lottery for this year, offering approximately 5,000 affordable homes to residents. Following a year-long wait in 2025 due to a lack of available projects, the Mumbai MHADA is now finalising a major inventory consisting largely of under-construction units to meet the city's surging demand for mid-range housing.

MHADA official advertisementfor the scheme is expected to be released in late March or early April 2026, according to reports. A significant portion of the new houses is located in major redevelopment hubs. The Patra Chawl (Siddharth Nagar) project in Goregaon West is the highlight of this year’s lottery, contributing nearly half of the total inventory with roughly 2,500 units. Other major residential areas featured in the upcoming draw include: Goregaon, Vikhroli, Antop Hill and Pratiksha Nagar in Sion.

As many of the buildings are currently in various stages of construction, MHADA officials have indicated that physical possession of the flats is likely to be handed over between 2027 and 2029.
