The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a ban on excavating roads for new construction across Mumbai to reduce air pollution and traffic in the local areas. The Maharashtra capital witnesses significant infrastructure and road construction works in several areas, which deteriorate air quality (AQI) and vehicular traffic.
