Mumbai Rain Update: Partly Cloudy Skies in City, Suburbs; IMD Issues Yellow Alert in Parts of Maharashtra
Partly cloudy skies in Mumbai and its suburbs on Monday, April 6, with maximum temperature likely to be 32 degrees Celsius in the afternoon and 25 degrees Celsius in the evening, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in a post on X.
Meanwhile, the weather bureau has issued a yellow alert for several districts of Maharashtra expecting thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, moderate rainfall and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) at isolated places in Amravati, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, GOndia, Napur, Wardha and Yaavatmal.

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rain, gusty winds with a speed of 30-40 kmph, very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Marathwada.
Mumbai AQI
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the economic capital was reported at 60, which falls under the 'moderate' category. However, the weather is likely to be dry and there is no chance of rain today. Regions with good AQI are: Andheri East (44), Bandra East (48), BKC (43), Colaba (32), Juhu (47), Mahalaxmi (35), Mahim (40), Mount Mary (33) and Walkeshwar (18).

Regions with 'moderate' AQI: Borivali East (83), Chandivali (57), Chembur (70), Kandivali East (70) and Malad West (93).
