A 36-year-old man from Diva died after falling off a packed moving train, while he was on his way to attend the funeral of relative in Dadar. He boarded the train at Kopar station on Thursday, April 16, 2026. The deceased identified as Tejas Pawar and a relative first tried to board a train at Diva station. All the Mumbai-bound trains were heavily crowded, so they decided to go in the opposite direction and boarded one at Kopar.
While relative managed to get inside the trai, Pawar was reportedly standing on the footboard, but he likely lost his grip and fell. According to TOI reports, Pawar fell from moving train in between Diva. Archana Dusane, senior inspector, Thane GRP, said Pawar was rushed to hospital, where he died. His relative, unaware of the tragedy, continued her journey till Dadar.
