A major controversy has erupted across India’s corporate sector after an alleged racket involving forced religious conversions and harassment of non-Muslim employees surfaced at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik. Reacting to the developments, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis termed the matter extremely serious and assured stringent action. Speaking at a press conference in West Bengal, he said authorities are actively investigating the extent of the network involved. He added that the government is determined to trace how far the alleged module operates and ensure that those responsible are held accountable without any leniency.

Responding to media queries on the government’s stance, Devendra Fadnavis reiterated that the case is being treated with utmost seriousness and strict measures are already underway. He stated that the activities were carried out through an organized module and emphasized that the company has also played a proactive role in addressing the issue. According to him, Tata Consultancy Services has made it clear that it will not shield anyone involved, and its leadership has strongly condemned the incident. He further confirmed that central investigative agencies have been informed and their assistance will be sought if required.

Meanwhile, speculation continues around the alleged mastermind, Nida Khan, who is believed to be absconding. Reports suggest that she has filed for anticipatory bail and may have fled Maharashtra, although officials from the Special Investigation Team have refrained from confirming these details. Sources indicate that her relatives have consulted multiple lawyers regarding her legal options. To trace her whereabouts, three separate teams have been dispatched to Gujarat, Kerala, and Kashmir. Earlier, she was believed to be in Bhiwandi, but could not be located. Investigators have also tracked possible leads in Mumbai while continuing their search.

Investigations have revealed that Nida Khan allegedly pressured female employees from specific communities to convert their religion. Her residence in Pune has also been searched as part of the probe. Authorities found that she was active in WhatsApp groups where employees were allegedly coerced into offering namaz and consuming non-vegetarian food against their will. So far, FIRs have been registered against nine individuals in connection with the case. Several accused, including Danish Shaikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Shaikh, Asif Aftab Ansar, and Shahrukh Shaikh, along with a woman, have been arrested, while Khan remains the only accused yet to be apprehended.
