An unclaimed dead body of a woman was recovered from a drainage near D-Mart Road, close to the Gogate Salt Dumping Ground in Nalasopara West on Friday. According to local residents, the body was spotted in the drain during the afternoon, prompting them to immediately alert the police.
Police teams soon reached the spot and began the process of retrieving the body from the drainage. Officials have also started efforts to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding her death. The body has been sent for further examination, and an investigation is currently underway. Police are also trying to ascertain whether the woman died due to accidental, natural, or suspicious causes.
