Mumbai Weather Update: Maximum Temperature Likely To Reach Around 35 Degrees Celsius; Heatwave Warning for Jalgaon, Nashik and Other Districts

Mumbaikars experienced warm temperature on Tuesday morning, May 12, as India Meteorological Department (IMD), predicted clear sky in city and suburbs. Dry weather with temperature of likely around 35 degrees Celsius during afternoon and 26 degrees Celsius in evening.

According to IMD, no major changes in maximum temperature in Konkan region during next 5 days. Hot and Humid conditions to remain for next 4 days in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) including Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri. Gradual rise in minimum temperature by 1-2 Deg C over Konkan during next 2 days and no large change thereafter, said weather department.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai remained in in the ‘Satisfactory’ category today morning at 72. Bandra Kurla Complex recorded an AQI of 80, while Borivali East stood at 95 and Andheri East at 93. Byculla registered an AQI of 82, while Chembur recorded 72.

Heatwave Like Condition in Maharashtra Districts 

Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Beed, Malegaon and Nashik recorded above normal temperature on Monday. Jalgaon reported the maximum temperature in the state of 44.3 degrees Celsius, followed Beed at 43.5 degrees Celsius, Aurangabad at 43.4 degrees Celsius, Nashik 42 degrees Celsius and Malegaon at 43.2 degrees Celsius.
