Today mobile has become integral part of everybody’s life and one one loses it or it gets stolen, it is a great loss. But if one gets his mobile back, it is nothing less than a miracle. A similar atmosphere was seen on Friday at Alankar Auditorium located at Police Line Takli. Mobile phones worth `37.50 lakhs stolen across the city were handed over to the respective owners by cyber cell police at the hands of police commissioner Amitesh Kumar. ACP Navin Chandra Reddy, ACP Sunil Fulari and DCP Vivek Masal were present in the program.
Expressing her feelings, woman complainant Roop Patil said that my mobile was lost three months ago. The mobile also contained bank details and other information. After the mobile was stolen, she was in mental trauma for a few days but with the help of cyber police, the mobile has been recovered.
On this occasion, CP Amitesh Kumar said where cyber crime is increasing rapidly. Cyber criminals commit crimes and cheats in new ways. Cyber crime can be carried out sitting in any corner of the country and abroad, so it takes more time to find them.
Mobile is everyone’s priority in this era. Most of our things are related to mobile. Nowadays online transactions have also become part and parcel of everyone’s life. In such a situation, criminals keep looking for opportunities to cheat.
We are returning the mobiles to complainants which we recovered till 2021. The CP further said that we are in police in uniform but every alert citizen is police without uniform. Always be vigilant and the police should be informed about the crime immediately, if it is happening in front of them. He also assured citizens, that if anyone gives information about the crime, they will not face any kind of problem and protection will be given to them.
