'Declare mucormycosis as epidemic in state'

Former MLA Ashish Deshmukh as written to health minister Rajesh Tope to declare mucormycosis as an epidemic in state as the patients of mucormycosis are on the rise. He said that the city and state is already dealing with corona and now there is an added burden of mucormycosis (black fungus). The infection is causing lot of suffering to patients and rapidly increasing, he added.
