Nagpur, April 14

To Break The Chain of Covid infection, the state government has imposed a strict lockdown from 8 pm on Wednesday night to 7 am on May 1 (Saturday). Curfew will be imposed during this time. NMC commissioner Radhakrishnan B has issued the order on Wednesday. Essential services including petrol pumps, public transport, rickshaw-taxis will ply on road along with shops of essential commodities. Police will take strict action against those who roam on the streets without valid reason.

What will be closed

Other shops except essential and vital items

Schools, colleges, coaching classes

Gardens, sports complexes, gymnasium

Restaurants, hotels, bars

Cinema halls, multiplex, theaters

Water Parks

Malls, departmental stores

Religious places

Salon, spa, beauty parlours

What will remain open

Transport of essential goods and related vital services

Bus, rail service, rickshaw-taxi.

All services related to hospital and medical sector

Insurance, banks and other financial services, e-commerce services.

Petrol pumps, IT services, freight transport.

Home delivery from the hotel, restaurant will continue Street food vendors will be able to serve parcels throughout the day
