Mokhade hits ton as Vid give strong reply

At close of play on Day 2, Vidarbha were 403/7 --- sitting pretty on a 212-run first-innings lead with three wickets standing. Uttarakhand had folded for 191 on Day 1.

Resuming on 67/0, Vidarbha lost openers Md Faiz (44), Satyam Bhoyar (45) and Danish Malewar (0), but a 112-run partnership between captain Mandar Mahale (45) and Aman Mokhade for the fourth wicket laid the foundation of a big score.

Mokhade and Jagjot Sasan (76) made most of it by adding another 147 runs off 170 balls to put Vidarbha in a commanding position.

Mokhade’s 151 came off 177 balls with 22 boundaries and two sixes, while Jagjot hit 10 fours and two sixes in his 97-ball 76.
