A project of sewerage line and chamber repairs costing Rs 31,30,29,868 will be taken up by dividing ten zones of Nagpur Municipal Corporation into three zone namely North, Central and South will be implemented. This project will streamline sewerage in city. A proposal in this regard has been kept for approval in Online House of NMC to be held on October 20 for approval.

Nagpur city has been divided into three zones North (Satranjipura, Asi Nagar and Mangalwari), Central (Dharampeth, Gandhibagh and Lakadganj) and South (Laxmi Nagar, Hanuman Nagar, Dhantoli and Nehru Nagar) zones. Pipelines measuring 60 km in length will be changed in project of repair and maintenance of sewer lines in all three zones.

After proposal is approved by the House, independent tenders of all three zones will be floated. The contractors who will be appointed will entire maps of existing and proposed sewer line and chambers. The appointed contractor will have to provide team of four workers and one supervisor in every zone to bring smoothness and speed in work. This proposal has been already approved by the committee led by president of standing committee Pintu Jhalke and formed by mayor Sandeep Joshi in regard of repairs of sewer line and chambers in the city.
