Nagpur, Jan 18

Union for RoadTransport and Highways, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Nitin Gadkari said around Rs 125 crore has been sanctioned for proposed sports academy in East and Central Nagpur with a view to produce talented sportspersons in the city.

He was speaking during the inauguration of new building of Bharat Vyayam Shala (Gymnasium) at Chitnis Park. Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari said to give a boost to sports in the city and produce sportspersons of international standard, government has made available funds to develop 60 grounds of the city.

On the occasion, Mayor DayashankarTiwari, MLA Vikas Kumbhare, MLC Pravin Datke, President of Gymnasium Jadhav, former mayor Archana Dehankar and others were present. The programme was attended by large number of citizens
