Sr state volleyball tourney begins

Organised by the Volleyball Association Nagpur (VAN), the tournament has attracted participation from around 500 male and 400 female players from across the state.

Mayor Nita Thakre officially inaugurated the event in the presence of MLC Dr. Abhijit Wanjari, Vijay Dangre (President, Maharashtra Volleyball Association), corporator Divya Dhurde, Nilesh Jagtap (Secretary, Maharashtra Volleyball Association), Sunil Hande , Anjali Patil (President, Maharashtra Referee Board), and other dignitaries.

On the opening day, in the men’s category, Nanded defeated Nandurbar 20–25, 25–13, 15–6 to start their campaign on a winning note. Additionally, Buldhana beat Amravati 25–22, 25–19, while Parbhani registered an impressive 25–19, 25–22 victory over Jalgaon.
