The sports committee chairman of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Pramod Tabhahe has assured the city sports organisers that their valuable suggestions will be included in the proposed sports policy of the corporation.
A special meeting of NMC officials with city sports organizers was orgnaised on Monday to give the final touches to the proposed sports policy. Tabhane was speaking in the said meeting.
Deputy chairman Lakhan Yerawar, member Rupali Thakur, Sheshrao Gotmare, Amar Bagde, Narendra Walde, Arjuna and Dronacharya awardee Vijay Munishwar, NDAA secretary DrSsharad Suryavanshi, additional commissioner Sanjay Nipane, deputy commissioner Vijay Deshmukh, sports control officer Nitil Bhote, Piyush Ambulkar and others were present on the occasion.
Tabhane said, " Sports policy is required to produce talented sportspersons in each game and to provide them scientific training". Tabhane also said without the valuable suggestions of experienced sports organisers the sports policy will remain incomplete. Therefore they will have to play an important role in drafting the policy.
Additional commissioner Sanjay Nipane expressed the need to form a committee to prepare the sports policy as early as possible. Those sports organisers Dr Vivek Awasare, Ganesh Kohale, Haresh Vora, Ajay Sontakke, Dr Upendra Verma, Prpf Sudhir Nimbalkar, Prashant Jagtap, Purushottam Choudhary, Mukund Dange, Mohammad Shoaib, Vijjay Naidu, Dr Sudhir Bhiwapurkar, Sachin Deshmukh, Padmakar Charmode, Ashpaq Sheikh, POravin Manwatkar, Dr Sujay Yevtikar, Dr Deepak Kavishwar, Dr Vijay Datarkar, Dr Surendra Tiwari and others gave their valuable suggestions.
