Changes were made in the office of

divisional joint directorate of education, as joint director Dr Mahesh Kumar Salunkhe has been sent on forced medical leave, as his name has appeared in misappropriation in financial dealings. Dr Sanjay Thakre from the Institute of Forensic Sciences has taken the charge. A press release was issued by the director higher education Dr Dhanraj Mane in this regard. No reason has been given for this sudden changes.

An inquiry is being conducted against Salunkhe and the report is yet to come. Many questions are being raised due to the the sudden change of guard. An education institution has alleged that Salunkhe has been demanding money for any official work. The higher and technical education minister Uday Samant had formed a committee to investigate the allegations. According to sources University Professors Association has demanded that till the time enquiry is pending, Dr Salunkhe should be removed from the post and hence he has been sent on medical leave.
