To know if you have corona or not, one should take a ‘Walk Test’. Accordingly one should walk for atleast six minutes for 600 meters. Check the oxygen level before walk and after the walk, if there is a difference of more than 5-6 units between both the counts, then the person might have corona and should get tested immediately, appealed radiologist Dr Jitendra Shau and leading pediatrician Dr Saurab Kubde.

They were addressing a FB Live session organised jointly by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Indian Medical Association (IMA) under the ‘Covid Samvad’ initiative on Saturday, where they spoke about pregnancy, new born baby health and Covid. There has been no medicine or vaccine on corona yet and hence precaution and protection are the best options, as things are opening up. People should adopt to the changing lifestyle and living with corona and should adhere to physical distancing, use of mask and sanitisers, should become a habit, the doctors said.

What care should be taken by pregnant women, how to maintain hygiene and the importance of sanitisation in these times. How to dispose the used mask and hand gloves, was disclosed by Dr Shau.

The doctors informed that the mask with valve is used to prevent pollution and the corona positive patients should not use it.

Alertness and precaution are tools to protect oneself from corona. One should behave as if the person sitting next to him or her has corona and also answered the queries and questions of participants.
