16 People, One Washroom: AAP's Sanjay Singh Shares Video of Hajj Committee's Azizia Facility for Indian Haj Pilgrims

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh shared a video on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) of accommodation of Indian Hajj pilgrims in Azizia. AAP leader describing broken toilet, dirty washrooms and 16 people in one room and using one washroom in the room at the hotel in Mecca's Azizia area by the Hajj Committee of India during Haj 2026. 

“Extreme disorder with Indian Hajj pilgrims in Mecca (Azizia)! The condition of Asaf al Quraishi Hostel is shameful—despite taking nearly Rs 4 lakh, families are separated, 16 people in one room, broken lift, one filthy washroom for 16 people. Stagnant, dirty water from the washroom inside the room. This is intolerable,” Sanjay Singh, while sharing a video on X and argue Haj Committee of India should take immediate action.

The video went viral on social media and drew the attention of the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, which tagged the Indian Hajj Pilgrims Office on X, asking to take action 'urgently.'

Responding publicly, the Indian Haj Pilgrims Office said, “Concerned branch officials and building welfare team are at the building examining the issue and providing possible assistance.”

The video shared by AAP leader Sanjay Singh shows a broken toilet, a small room with several beds, a washroom with water-filled water, and the floor remains waterlogged. Further in the video, pilgrims are seen at learned to be hotel reception arguing with staff regarding the condition of stay.
