Bomb Threat Receive to Punjab and Haryana High Court and Mini Secretariat
Bom threat email warning of explosions on the premises of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Mini Secretariat was received on Thursday morning, February 19. According to the news agency IANS, security across Chandigarh has been tightened after the following threat emails.
After the alert, police evacuated both buildings and bomb disposal squads, and fire brigade personnel rushed to the locations and begin search of bombs. Punjab Mini Secretariat is located in Sector 9, and the Punjab and Haryana High Court is in Sector 1 of Chandigarh.

However, after detailed inspection, no suspicious or explosive material was found in the buildings. Security agencies cordoned off the premises and evacuated employees and visitors as a precautionary measure. A thorough anti-sabotage check and search operation is currently underway at both sites.
This comes after multiple schools in Uttar Pradesh's Noida received bomb threats via email. After receiving the information,a physical check was conducted through police teams, the bomb squad, and the dog squad.
