Congress MLA Tanveer Sait attacked in Mysuru, condition critical

Congress MLA Tanveer Sait, was attacked with a sharp knife by an unidentified man at a private event on Sunday around midnight.

 Congress MLA Tanveer Sait, was attacked with a sharp knife by an unidentified man at a private event on Sunday around midnight. Post the attack, Sait was admitted in a nearby hospital in critcal condition. According to reports, he suffered a serious neck injury and was operated by a team of medical experts before being shifted to ICU. Tanveer is said to be under observation and all the nerves except the spinal nerve has been damaged. 

The accused has been nabbed by the police and a case has been registered under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code. The security has been beefed up around the hospital were he is currently under observation for 78 hours. Sait has served as the Primary and Education Minister and is a five-time MLA  from Narasimharaja seat.
