According to Delhi Police, the incident occurred on Monday night in the Rani Bagh area. A case was registered at Nangloi Police Station based on the victim’s complaint. The two accused, the bus driver and the conductor, were subsequently taken into custody. Police said the private bus allegedly used in the incident has also been seized as part of the investigation.

The survivor, a resident of a slum cluster in Pitampura, is employed at a factory in Mangolpuri, according to NDTV. On Monday night, May 11, when the victim was returning home from work, a sleeper bus stopped at the bus stop in Saraswati Vihar, according to IANS.
