A viral video from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur has once again highlighted the dangers of making reels in risky situations. A man lost his life while dancing on the roof of an e-rickshaw for a social media video. The incident took place on Thursday night at the City Railway Station premises.

The victim, identified as 55-year-old Chandrashekhar Rawat, was a fourth-class employee at the post-mortem house. He was a resident of Tulsia Ka Pul in the Nagar area. On Thursday night, he climbed onto the roof of an e-rickshaw to record a dance reel. Meanwhile, the driver started the vehicle. His foot got stuck in the carrier, causing him to lose balance and fall headfirst onto the ground.

Bystanders rushed to help and took him to the civil hospital in critical condition. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. The incident has raised concerns over the risks involved in creating social media content.

Chandrashekhar had been working at the post-mortem house for more than a decade. His primary duty was cleaning, but he also assisted in performing autopsies.

Family members rushed to the hospital after learning about the incident. According to regional media reports, his son, Suraj, urged the administration to provide him with a job in place of his father, as Chandrashekhar was the sole breadwinner of the family. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and are investigating the case.
