Power supply scheduled has been announced starting today, Friday March 13, 2026  in the Zamania region of Ghazipur district.  Acting on the directives of the Superintending Engineer (System Control), the Power Corporation has issued a new schedule. Total six hours of power cut in two shifts will be observed daily from March 13 to March 31, 2026. This arrangement will be applicable across all 17 power substations within the Zamania region. According to the new schedule, power cuts lasting three hours each will be enforced from 5:45 AM to 8:45 AM, and subsequently from 10:45 AM to 1:45 PM.

To ensure a smooth police recruitment examination, the department will maintain uninterrupted power supply on March 14 and 15 during the Sub-Inspectors (Civil Police) written examination. Power will be continuously supplied from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM on both days to prevent disruptions. Instructions have been issued to all relevant personnel (sub-divisions, power substations, Executive Engineers, SDOs, Junior Engineers, and SSO personnel) to avoid any negligence during these hours.

According to the Electricity Department, a total of 56 feeders operate under the 17 substations located in the Zamania region. These feeders supply electricity to approximately 300 villages, benefiting over 100,000 consumers across the region. Junior Engineer Ashish Kumar confirmed that the new power supply schedule came into effect today, Friday, March 13, and this arrangement will remain in force until March 31. He also reiterated that the power supply would remain completely uninterrupted during the police recruitment examination on March 14 and 15, so that the examinees face no inconvenience.
