A shocking incident in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, has left the police administration deeply shaken following the mysterious death of a young woman. The victim, originally from Manipur, was employed at a massage parlour and died under suspicious circumstances. Her alleged boyfriend brought her body to a graveyard for burial, but the situation took a dramatic turn when her husband arrived from Delhi at the same time. This unexpected confrontation exposed a possible attempt to conceal her identity and hastily bury the body without proper verification, raising serious concerns among authorities.
According to reports, a young man and woman transported the deceased’s body in a loading vehicle to Jeevan Shah graveyard under the jurisdiction of Nawababad Police Station. They claimed to be the woman’s siblings and sought permission for burial. However, the graveyard committee grew suspicious and asked for identification documents. Upon checking the Aadhaar card, it was revealed that the deceased woman was a Christian, while the two individuals who brought her body were Muslims. This discrepancy heightened suspicion and prompted further scrutiny, preventing an immediate burial and bringing the entire situation under question before it could proceed unnoticed.
The deceased has been identified as Simmi, also known as Teresa, a native of Manipur, whose husband works in Delhi. After receiving news of her death, he rushed to Jhansi along with relatives. The husband alleged that her death was suspicious and claimed there was an attempt to erase her identity and bury her quickly. Family members expressed anger, stating that if the matter had not come to light in time, she would have been buried without any investigation. Their intervention played a crucial role in halting the burial process and ensuring that authorities were alerted to the unusual circumstances surrounding her death.

Meanwhile, the woman’s alleged boyfriend told police that they had met around four to five months ago at a massage parlour. He claimed that Simmi had been unwell and died during treatment. Denying allegations of wrongdoing, he stated that they were on their way for a post-mortem, not burial. However, the graveyard caretaker reported that the group had earlier visited another burial ground at Kanpur Chungi, where they were turned away. This conflicting version of events has intensified suspicion and raised questions about the true sequence of actions taken after the woman’s death.
Considering the rising tension in the case, Nawababad police took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Investigations are currently underway, with both the woman’s friend and alleged boyfriend being questioned. Authorities are trying to determine whether the death was natural or a case of foul play. Additionally, they are probing the intent behind allegedly attempting to conceal her identity and conduct a hurried burial. Officials have stated that clear answers will only emerge after the post-mortem report is received, which is expected to shed light on the exact cause of death.
