Pune Crime: Elderly Woman Brutally Attacked by Thieves in Junnar; Gold and Cash Looted

Pune: A shocking incident of robbery and assault took place in the Ranmala area along the Belhe-Alkuti road in Junnar. In this, an 85-year-old woman got seriously injured. According to reports, the victim, Jijabai Gabaji Gunjal, who lives alone in a house, was attacked by unidentified thieves who had allegedly been lying in wait outside her home. As she stepped out of her house, the assailants struck her with an iron rod in a life-threatening assault. They forcibly snatched approximately one tola of gold jewelry from her neck. 

As per the initial reports, attackers entered her residence, broke open a cupboard and fled away with Rs. 5,000 cash. The attack left elderly woman severely injured and she was rushed to the hospital in Alephata. She also sustained head injury.
