Eid al-Fitr 2026: President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, emphasizing the values of compassion, service and social harmony associated with the festival. In a message posted on X, Murmu congratulated people across the country, particularly members of the Muslim community, on the occasion marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

“Heartiest congratulations to all fellow citizens, especially Muslim sisters and brothers, on the blessed occasion of Eid al-Fitr,” she said. “This festival imparts the lesson of self-restraint, service, philanthropy, and compassion towards the underprivileged sections. Let us, on this occasion, resolve to strengthen society and the nation.”
