The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police has arrested a man and seized 300 grams mephedrone (MD) drug worth Rs 30 lakhs in the international market, police said on Wednesday.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police has arrested a man and seized 300 grams mephedrone (MD) drug worth Rs 30 lakhs in the international market, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused has been identified as Akhlaq Ahmed Abdul Ahmad Ansari (47)
"On specific inputs about the movement of accused, a team of ANC set up a trap and arrested him. Police have also seized 300 grams MD drug worth Rs 30 lakhs in international market," police said.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Ansari had been distributing drugs in large quantities in Mumbai and suburbs area, and the accused has a criminal record with cases registered against him in various police stations including Nagpada Police Station, JJ Marg Police Station, and Bhoiwada Police Station.
