There is no need to panic, together we will fight Coronavirus

Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his second address to the nation tweeted saying, "My fellow citizens there is nothing to worry."

My fellow citizens,

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO PANIC.

Essential commodities, medicines etc. would be available. Centre and various state governments will work in close coordination to ensure this.

Together, we will fight COVID-19 and create a healthier India.

In the midst of the 21-day lockdown the Ministry o f Home Affairs issues guidelines of the essential services

Commercial and private establishments shall be closed down; exceptions:

1. Shops, including ration shops under PDS system, dealing with food, groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths, meat and fish, animal fodder.

2. Banks, insurance offices and ATMs

3. Print and electronic media

4. Telecommunication, internet services, broadcasting and cable services, and IT-enabled services (only for essential services).

5.  Deliver of all essential goods including food, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, through E-Commerce.

6. Petrol pumps, LPG, petroleum and gas retail and storage outlets

7. Power generation, transmission, and distribution units and services.

8. Capital and debit market services as notified by SEBI.

9. Cold storage and warehousing services

10. Private security services.
